IN-PERSON LOTTERY AT THE PUBLIC

There will be no in-person lottery for THE ALLY, SALLY & TOM, or JORDANS.

IN-PERSON STANDBY FOR JOE PAPP FREE PERFORMANCES

  • Following the conclusion of the TodayTix Free Lottery, free tickets may become available on the day of the scheduled performance starting at 4PM through the scheduled curtain at The Taub Box Office at The Public Theater.
  • Beginning at 4PM for Joe Papp Free Performances, our Box Office agents will add your name to our digital standby upon arrival. You may request 1 or 2 tickets. We will keep your spot on our digital line and contact you by SMS | text message, or pager if and when tickets become available.
  • After visiting our Box Office and joining our digital line, you must be within a 5-minute walk of The Public if you were to opt-in to be contacted by SMS | or text message and must stay within the lobby of The Public if you choose to use one of our pagers. All line members must be in or return to the lobby thirty minutes before the scheduled curtain to ensure the timely distribution of tickets available at the last minute.
  • Tickets will be distributed through the curtain as supplies last, and tickets are not guaranteed to all who join standby.
  • You must abide by our Health and Safety plan to join the in-person standby and receive tickets for the performance.
  • You must have a Public Theater Account to join standby and receive tickets; visit publictheater.org/register to confirm your account or create a new one before arriving at The Public.
  • We discourage anyone from forming a standby line in the lobby prior to 4PM for Joe Papp Free Performances. The Public Theater staff will not monitor a line before 4PM.
  • We will do our best to assist with requests for accommodation from people with disabilities, but tickets received on standby are the best available at their time of release and accessible seats cannot be guaranteed on standby.
  • Our standby line may be closed for any reason and at any time by management.
