WHAT ARE SECURE DIGITAL TICKETS?

Secure digital tickets are paperless tickets offered through the True Tickets digital ticket platform on your smart mobile device. Secure digital tickets allow The Public to track tickets from the time it’s sold, to the point of entry and throughout the event. With True Tickets, you get a better experience trusting that you have a confirmed ticket, all backed by innovative technology guaranteeing admission to the event you've been waiting to attend. 

I DON'T HAVE A SMARTPHONE OR TABLET, AND I CHOSE DIGITAL TICKETS.

You have chosen Digital Ticket Delivery, which requires you to have a smartphone or tablet at the venue to access your tickets via your Public Theater digital wallet. If you do not have a smartphone or tablet, please call 212.967.7555 or Send us a Message, and we will be glad to help you arrange to pick your tickets up at the Box Office.

DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD AN APP TO GET MY DIGITAL TICKETS?

No, our Digital Ticket delivery does not require you to download an app; your tickets are available in your Wallet on any web browser on any device with access to a data plan or wi-fi after logging into your Public Theater Account.

WHY DO YOU DELAY DISPLAYING MY QR CODES UNTIL RIGHT BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE?

Our refreshing QR Code is delivered 2 hours before your performance as a deterrent to fraudulent ticket resale. Since the QR Code updates periodically, a screenshot or printout of the ticket cannot be accepted. Requiring a live, updating QR Code to be scanned upon entry ensures that only one person at a time will have access to that ticket.

CAN I PRINT MY DIGITAL TICKETS AND BRING THEM WITH ME TO THE PERFORMANCE?

No, please do not attempt to print your Digital Tickets and bring them to our venues. Your barcode includes technology to protect it; screenshots or printouts will not be accepted at entry.

WHAT IF MY SMART DEVICE IS OUT OF POWER?

Visit our Box Office when you arrive at the performance. We would be happy to print your traditional paper tickets for the ticket owner for the performance.  

CAN I SHARE MY TICKETS WITH MY GROUP?

If you are the ticket owner, you can also Send us a Message for assistance with changing your delivery method to Hold at Box Office for your guests to pick up in person at our Box Offices on the day of your scheduled performance.  

WHY CAN'T I STORE MY DIGITAL TICKETS IN APPLE OR ANDROID WALLET? 

Currently, Apple and Android wallets don't support refreshing dynamic QR codes—the same for any other primary ticketing system or provider, like Ticketmaster. When Apple and Android wallets start supporting dynamic QR codes, The Public and True Tickets will explore adding that feature. 

MY REFRESHING QR CODE DISAPPEARED AFTER IT WAS DELIVERED; WHAT DO I DO?

Refresh the webpage you are on, and the dynamic QR code will display again.
