I DON'T HAVE A SMARTPHONE OR TABLET AND I CHOSE DIGITAL TICKETS?

You have chosen Digital Ticket Delivery, which requires you to have a smartphone or tablet at the venue to access your tickets via your Public Theater digital wallet. If you do not have a smartphone or tablet please call 212.967.7555 or Send us a Message and we will be glad to help you make arrangements to pick your tickets up at the Box Office.

DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD AN APP TO GET MY DIGITAL TICKETS?

No, our Digital Ticket delivery does not require you to download an app; your tickets are available in your Wallet on any web browser on any device with access to a data plan or wi-fi after logging into your Public Theater Account.

WHY DO YOU DELAY DISPLAYING MY QR CODES UNTIL RIGHT BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE?

The Public has decided to delay the delivery of the QR Code on your tickets until 2 hours prior to your performance as a deterrent to those who may attempt to resell our tickets. Learn more about why The Public works to deter TICKET RESELLERS

CAN I PRINT MY DIGITAL TICKETS AND BRING THEM WITH ME TO THE PERFORMANCE?

No, please do not attempt to print your Digital Tickets and bring them to our venues. Your barcode includes technology to protect it, screenshots or printouts will not be accepted at entry.

WHAT IF MY SMART DEVICE IS OUT OF POWER?

Visit our Box Office when you arrive at the performance. We would be happy to print your traditional paper tickets for the performance.  

CAN I SHARE MY TICKETS WITH MY GROUP? 

Self-serve Digital Ticket Sharing is coming soon to The Public Theater; until then, we would be happy to assist you in assigning tickets for your guests to access their tickets digitally. The Public Theater will not reassign tickets for a performance occurring in less than 48 hours as the assignment process is manual and subject to be completed during business hours. No exceptions will be made.

You can also Send us a Message for assistance with changing your delivery method to Hold at Box Office for your guests to pick up in person at our Box Offices on the day of your scheduled performance.  

WHY CAN'T I STORE MY DIGITAL TICKETS IN APPLE OR ANDROID WALLET? 

Currently, Apple and Android wallets don’t support dynamic QR codes—which is the same for any other primary ticketing system or provider, like Ticketmaster, for example. When Apple and Android wallets start supporting dynamic QR codes, The Public and True Tickets will explore adding that feature. 

MY DYNAMIC QR CODE DISAPPEARED AFTER IT WAS DELIVERED; WHAT DO I DO?

Refresh the webpage you are on, and the dynamic QR code will display again.
